I was one smitten kitten over these shoes that A Slip of a Girl posted. A-maz-ing!
I just had to show Blackie.
He wasn’t that interested. Neither was Marc. After all, they know I’m partial to shoes and girlie slipper shoes like these (especially those vintage pink satin slippers!). It’s one of the reasons Marc complains that I’m too much of a pampered pet. So it’s not surprising neither was too interested in the kitty-cat shoes (hey, after the novelty of thinking about calling me ‘pussy feet,’ they really didn’t care).
But as I stayed and played awhile longer at the Virtual Shoe Museum, they became more interested — and opinionated. You might even say they began fantasizing about shoes for me. However, their style aesthetic has less to do with fashion than it does with the “possibilities,” as you will see.
Footwear by Annejet Kosters was their favorite. Both The Billy and The Golden Heel are footless shoes.

While the appeal of the footless shoe may not be immediately obvious (and it wasn’t too me, as neither one of them has a foot fetish), Marc quickly illuminated the situation.
“Imagine having to keep your balance on those shoes while taking a paddling — while the ball of each foot is firmly planted on rice.”
If you’ve ever knelt or stood on dried rice, you understand the chill that ran up my back — it sure wasn’t the thrill of shoe shopping!
“What’s the matter,” Blackie asked laughing, “I thought you loved to shop for pink and black things — and even if the one pair is gold, your feet sure will be pink!”
PS Both Marc & Blackie fancy the bondage possibilities of that silver claw heel of The Billy too.
